Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks, a West Chester native and graduate of Lakota West High School, is becoming one of the better young defenders in the NFL.

Pro Football Focus gave Hicks the league’s highest grade for most coverage snaps played per target. In other words, Hicks often dropped into coverage, and his defense was rarely punished for it.

After an injury ridden career at Texas, Hicks has blossomed since becoming an Eagle in 2015. He’s considered one of their building blocks on a young, talented defense.

Hicks is currently battling a quad injury, and reportedly wouldn’t be ready to play if season started today. He isn’t expected to miss significant time.
