A week after her career-best finish on the LPGA Tour, Marissa Steen one-upped herself.
The Lakota West graduate recorded her first top-10 finish on tour -- a tie for eighth -- Sunday in the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open in Grange, South Australia.
Steen carded a 4-under-par 68 in the final round to finish at 9 under in the 72-hole event.
Nelly Korda won the tournament at 17 under.
Steen finished tied for 27th last week in the ISPS Handa Vic Open in Victoria, Australia.
The two tournaments in Australia were Steen’s first on tour in a year. She missed most of the 2018 season with an ankle injury.
Steen is a 2008 Lakota West graduate. She helped the Firebirds to a Division I state title in 2006.
