Ohio State has signed at least one player from Cox Media Group Ohio's coverage area in six of the last eight years, including Wayne receiver L'Christian "Blue" Smith for 2018.

While coach Urban Meyer and his staff are still putting together their plans for the 2019 cycle, Land of 10 has identified 11 area players who are at least on the Buckeyes’ radar at this point.

There are five players on offense: Dunbar lineman Jonathan Allen, Fairfield tight end Erick All, Alter teammates Connor Bazelak (quarterback) and John Bivens (running back) and Springfield lineman Isaiah Gibson.

Defensively, a pair of Northmont teammates made the list in linebacker Jestin Jacobs and end Gabe Newburg along with Springfield defensive back Moses Douglass, Lakota West lineman Steven Faucheux and defensive back teammate Jeremiah Ross plus Wayne defensive back Justin Harris.

None of these players have Buckeye offers yet, but that could change as winter and spring visits are made, not to mention once summer camp season rolls around.
