TPC River’s Bend set to host Symetra Tour event

A bit of history is on tap later this month as the inaugural Prasco Charity Championship tees it up at TPC River’s Bend in Warren County.

The event will be the first time an LPGA-sanctioned event has been played on a golf course that is owned and operated by the PGA Tour.

TPC River’s Bend has hosted the Big Ten women’s championship the last two years. The Arnold Palmer-designed course has also played host to the PGA Champions Tour and the Web.Com Tour from 2010-2012.

Oakwood native and former Ohio State golfer Emma Jandel is expected to be part of the 144- player field. Jandel has played in six events on the Symetra Tour this season and is yet to make a cut.

The top 10 players on the money list at the end of the season automatically earn playing privleges on the LPGA Tour in 2019.

The 54-hole event will start Friday, June 29 and finish Sunday, July 1. Tickets are $10 at the gate. For more information you can visit prascocharitychamp.com.
