Half of Hall & Oates eats salmon at Oregon District restaurant

A member of the duo that brought the world Maneater, ate salmon at an Oregon District restaurant.

John  Oates of famous duo Hall & Oates dined on salmon in tamarind sauce at Thai 9 located at 11 Brown St., according to a post the restaurant added to Facebook page Friday night.

“John Oates from Hall & Oates came in and enjoyed our salmon in tamarind sauce,” the post reads. 

The restaurant included a photo.

It was not immediately clear when Oates ate at the restaurant.

Oates, an award-winning singer/songwriter, performed Tuesday in downtown Dayton at the  historic Victoria Theatre with the  The Good Road Band.

Oates has recorded five solo albums and has become a diverse musician and songwriter active in the Nashville community and beyond. He was the creator and executive producer for the “7908 the Aspen Songwriters Festival” and teamed up with Jim James (My Morning Jacket) to curate the Bonnaroo Super Jam with special guests Britney Howard, Billy Idol, R. Kelly, Larry Graham, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

His most recent album, “Arkansas,” was released in Feb. 2018.
