Downtown Middletown is going green on Saturday, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early by extending hours for the city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, or D.O.R.A.

The holiday cheer for St. Paddy’s Day in the D.O.R.A. kicks off at 8 a.m. at various storefronts around town with Irish-themed breakfasts, a Shake Your Shamrock Fun Run and plenty of St. Paddy’s day cocktails and spirits.

Participating businesses include The Swire Inn, West Central Wine, Rolling Mill Brewery, Murphy’s Landing Bar & Grill, Spoken Bicycles, White Dog Distilling Co., Gracie’s, Central Pastry, Mockingbirds Cafe and The Craft Kitchen.
