West Chester ice cream parlor closes

A West Chester ice cream parlor recently closed its doors for the final time.

“We want to thank everyone for your patronage over the last 10 years,” The Creamery posted to its Facebook page. “While we enjoyed making and serving our ice cream what we enjoyed the most all of our customers. Your smiles made our day time and again. That will be missed!”

The storefront at 9437 Civic Centre Blvd. in the Street of West Chester shopping center allowed customers to pick an everyday or seasonal flavor of ice cream, then choose mix-ins to add to the ice cream atop a frozen slab. The Creamery then mixed up the ingredients to put inside a cup, cone or waffle bowl. The store also sold bagged chocolate nuts, pretzels, and other assorted candies.
