The West Chester Twp. trustees will host a farewell reception for their departing Administrator Judi Boyko tomorrow.

The reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the township administration building, 9113 Cincinnati Dayton Road.

After 25 years serving the township in various capacities, Boyko will be leaving Aug. 1 to become the assistant county administrator in Hamilton County.

The trustees have all said she will be very difficult to replace.

“What a huge victory this is for Hamilton County. Judi is an amazing talent who I have come to value over the years,” said Trustee George Lang said when she announced her resignation. “As an administrator, I have a big respect for her ability to get things done; as a person I have developed a deep affinity for the being that she is. Over the last decade, Judi has become the heart and soul of our community, and under her leadership West Chester has flourished. Her impact on West Chester will still be felt 100 years from now. She will be missed immensely. The biggest winners today are the businesses and residents of Hamilton County.”

Last week the trustees agreed to spend $25,000 on a search firm to find her replacement.
