11-week road closure to start Monday in Liberty Twp.

UPDATE, Aug. 25:

The 11-week closure of Millikin Road rescheduled for today has been postponed again, the Butler County Engineer’s Office announced today.

Millikin Road will now close beginning Monday, Aug. 29, between Ohio 747 and Winding Creek Boulevard for a roadway improvement.

The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of Nov. 7.

During this closure, detours will be posted for all thru traffic.

Local access will be maintained for residents of Millikin Road within the construction zone as well as for the Carriage Crossing subdivision.

INITIAL REPORT, Aug. 22:

The closing of Millikin Road — originally scheduled to begin today — has been postponed to Thursday.

The contractor is behind schedule and unable to begin work due to last week’s heavy rains, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

Millikin Road will close between Ohio 747 and Winding Creek Boulevard for a roadway improvement beginning Thursday.

The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of Nov. 7.
