Temperatures this fall have been warmer than normal. From September through October, there have only been ten nights in the 40s. Clear skies and calm winds will enhance the chance for temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 30s Monday night. This also can allow some patchy frost to develop.

Keep in mind, the air temperature where measurements are taken is a few feet above the ground so often the surface or ground temperatures can be colder. On average our first freezing temperatures of fall occur around October 22.

Any plants or pumpkins should be covered or brought inside if you are worried about minor damage.
