A SWAT team surrounded a Hamilton residence in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. today.

A K-9 unit from the Fairfield police department joined the operation as SWAT officers converged on the front of the residence.

Hamilton police confirmed that there was law enforcement activity in the Wayne Avenue area, but declined to release more information.
