Summer school spots still open

The Hamilton City School District’s Secondary Summer School continues to have open registration for students in grades seven through 12, online at www.hamiltoncityschools.com. The summer school will run through July 18 at Hamilton High School.

This year’s summer school is incorporating technology to offer students a blended learning option — allowing the student to work from home 24 hours a day, but also computer lab hours from 8 a.m. to noon daily if help with a teacher is needed.

Summer school courses are $100 for first class, with prices declining for multiple courses. Computer labs will be manned by teachers in subjects of English, math, social studies and science.

Only two courses won’t be offered online — physical education and OGT prep classes and tests.
