Hamilton man unharmed after water rescue at High Street Bridge

UPDATE @ 9:22 p.m.:

The man who fell from High Street Bridge is unharmed, police say.

Around 8:50 p.m., the man escaped from the Great Miami River himself, police say.

He was not injured, but he was still transported to Fort Hamilton hospital. Crews are no longer on scene.

INITIAL REPORT:

Crews have been dispatched to the High Street Bridge on a report of a man who is in the water and hanging onto a bridge pillar.

According to police and fire scanner traffic, the man is on the Main Street side near the Municipal Brew Works brewery.

The incident was dispatched about 8:51 p.m.
