A gun was found in the yard outside the home where one person was killed and eight others were injured at a gender reveal party on July 8 , according our news partner WCPO.

The Cincinnati-based television station reports the Colerain police report states the unloaded firearm belongs to the “homeowner.” WCPO reports the home is rented by VineBrook Homes of Huber Heights, Ohio, according to the Hamilton County Auditor’s website.

The report also indicate witnesses provided multiple descriptions of the shooters, according to WCPO.

Cheyanne Willis was shot in the leg Saturday night, at a shower in her unborn baby's honor.
She told our partners at WCPO in Cincinnati on Monday that she lost the child. Another woman died. Seven others, including three children, were injured.
It was not Willis' first encounter with violence. She told WCPO she was attacked on Christmas Eve 2014, claiming another woman punched her and wrote on her face.
Jim Love, Colerain Township police spokesman, said detectives have been getting two or three tips an hour since Saturday night's shootings on Capstan Drive.
Now they're now looking into information about the December 2014 case after WCPO told them about it.
Police believe there were two gunmen. But Love said they don't know why they walked through the front door and shot up the home.
"We are not closer to motive," he said. "That is one of the biggest questions that we are trying to figure out."

Two adults at University of Cincinnati Medical Center have improved to fair condition from serious or stable, according to hospital officials.

“We’ve had some tips and we are following up on that and really just doing regular police work now on the case,” Love told this news outlet today. “We are following up on those tips and aggressively working on this case trying to make something break.”

Residents in a Cincinnati neighborhood are still trying to make sense of a shooting after a gender-reveal party Saturday night that killed one person and injured eight others.
“It’s normally a quiet neighborhood, nothing goes on, friendly neighbors,” said Patrick Shanley, 30, who lives in the Capstan Drive neighborhood where a shooting occurred after a gender-reveal party Saturday night in Colerain.
He says he was shocked by the shooting. His wife and child were home at the time but did not hear any gunshots, he said.
A Colerain police vehicle was parked Monday outside the home in the 900 block of Capstan Drive where the shooting occurred.
There have been no arrests at this point and no information has been released on a possible motive
EARLIER REPORT
Colerain Twp. police responded to several 9-1-1 calls around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on reports of two unidentified people entering a home in the 9900 block of Capstan Avenue and firing several rounds.
Autum Garrett, 22, of Huntington, Ind., suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died before first responders arrived on the scene, according to Colerain Twp. Police Chief Mark Denney.
Denney said no arrests had been made in connection to the shootings and a motive hasn’t been discovered.
One male 9-1-1 caller, who claims to have been one of the victims shot, said he and the others were in the house watching TV Saturday when two people entered the home and started shooting.
“Somebody just came in and shot all of us…,” the caller said. “There’s a baby that was shot in the leg, I’m shot. It’s a whole lot of people in here shot.”
When asked by the dispatcher if he had descriptions of the shooters, the caller said he had only seen two people walk by before they entered the house.
“I looked outside, next thing I know they just ran in and start shooting,” he said.
Three children, ages 8, 6 and 2, were sent to Cincinnati Children’s hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were other children inside the home who were not injured, according to police.
Five adults also suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening, including two who are in serious but stable condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to WCPO, our news partner in Cincinnati.
WCPO also reports that a pregnant woman who was among those shot Saturday night, and claims to said she has lost the baby as a result. The woman, who said she was shot in the leg, is believed to be the woman who was revealing the gender of her child at the party, according to the Associated Press.
