More Liberty Center tenants are opening temporary hiring offices in the area to staff their ranks ahead of an October opening.
Craft beer and pizza eatery Pies & Pints just this past week opened a new location near the construction site at 7308 Yankee Road in Liberty Twp., in the same shopping center as the Kroger Marketplace, said Jeremy Street, general manager of the soon-to-open Liberty Center restaurant. Street said he is accepting resumes and conducting on-the-spot interviews during office hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Applicants can also email their information to jeremy.street@piesandpints.net.
Pies & Pints has about 80 full- and part-time jobs to fill including servers, hosts, bartenders, line cooks, dishwashers and food prep positions, Street said.
“I’m looking for hard working personalities that are engaging, that are willing to express the Pies & Pints culture, which is that engagement and connection with the guest. The guest is always first,” he said.
Plans are to keep the office space open until at least Oct. 8, he said.
Pies & Pints will break into the Cincinnati market with its unique pizza flavors and beer combinations when it opens at the approximately $350 million Liberty Center development in Butler County.
Pizza menu items include Grape & Gorgonzola, Mediterranean Shrimp and Cuban Pork, which co-owner Rob Lindeman previously told the Journal-News are bold flavors. Diners can expect to see 36 draft beer handles, filled out by locally-brewed choices, according to Lindeman.
Every server and bartender has Cicerone beer certification, comparable to a wine sommelier credential, and servers can recommend drink complements for meals.
“With that education that we have, we can really inspire people to go out of that comfort zone and inspire people to try something new,” Street said.

A second job fair held last Wednesday, Sept. 2, for Liberty Center tenants attracted about 450 job seekers, according to Adam Jones, the administrator of the Workforce Investment Board of Butler, Clermont and Warren Counties.
Marshall McVey of Fairfield Twp. was hired at the first Liberty Center Career Fair held in July as the town center’s maintenance manager and was at Wednesday’s event hiring maintenance technicians to work with him.
“I think this is going to be a great opportunity for me. I’ve been in the business at previous employment for 36 years doing basically the same,” McVey said. “It’s a little closer to my house and I was looking to start somewhere new.”
Job seekers still haven’t missed their chance to apply.
