1 OVI arrest at recent checkpoint in Fairfield

One OVI arrest was made during a sobriety checkpoint in Fairfield on Thanksgiving eve.

Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force coordinator, said 265 vehicles were checked between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Nov. 21 in the 4400 block of Dixie Highway (Ohio 4) at Symmes Road.

Reising said three vehicles were diverted for further investigation that resulted in one OVI arrest.

In addition, he said, one citation for driving under suspension and two misdemeanor citations for marijuana possession were issued.
