A new retail destination specializing in biker apparel and parts is slated to open in downtown Middletown next week.
Annie Up Boutique is set to makes its debut Monday at 1391 Central Ave. with grand opening festivities planned for a later date, according to owner Andrea Booth, a lifelong Madison Twp. resident.
The new store, which is a dealer for Lucky 13 apparel, will provide an array of new and used indoor and outdoor apparel. Sporting a rockabilly-style theme, it also includes vintage finds, such as record albums.
Annie Up Boutique also is a consignment store for biker apparel and parts, like Harley Davidson.
“A place where bikers can exchange apparel and parts, it’s something that this town needed,” Booth said. “I’m all about the resurgence of downtown Middletown and I think this would be a great opportunity for the biker community to bring more business to Middletown.”
The shop is partnering with the Wish app to be a Wish local store. Customers can buy items on the app and pick them up in the store, Booth said. Customers may also save on shipping if they choose to the "ship to store" option, she said.
Booth said she previously intended to open at Towne Mall Galleria but didn’t get to do so because of COVID-19. She said she switched to Central Avenue “because downtown is a lot better.”
“We didn’t design the old shop with the motorcycle theme,” she said. “That location was geared to be more vintage, but I’m glad that we did that (motorcycle theme) here. That’s what makes it.”
Those who use promo code “cflzwhjb” can save up to 80 percent off their first order or if they haven’t ordered in 30 days, Booth said.
Booth said the most important thing for her about Annie Up is maintaining the quality of the shop's customer service.
“I am dedicated to go above and beyond to help my customers and keeping them as customers,” she said.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
