West Chester Stretch & Recover has six employees and is looking to hire an ATC (Athletic Trainer, Certified), then expand into other locations and hire at least four to six more employees once the West Chester location is full.
The program is membership-based and can only accept 100 members at that location.
Neuro Fit Gym
Neuro Fit Gym opened Wednesday at 4155 Tonya Trail in Fairfield Twp.
The new business bills itself as “a unique gym for individuals with neurological diagnoses.” That includes Parkinson’s Disease, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular disease (CVA), multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Neuro Fit Gym offers group classes, educational meetings and more. Individual sessions will also be available.
All of these classes and sessions at the new business is run by licensed and experienced physical therapists Colleen Schuster, of Hamilton, and Amy Bertram, of Liberty Twp.
Bertram graduated in 2004 from the University of Cincinnati as a physical therapist assistant. She continued with her studies and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2006 and earned her doctor of physical therapy from UC in 2009.
Schuster earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University in 1991 and completed her doctorate degree through the University of Montana in 2014.
