Residents said in both incidents multiple shots were fired at the house. Police say the shooters were targeting a specific person who lived in that house late Saturday night and early Monday morning. No injuries were reported, but police said the bullets penetrated the walls of the house.
“We’ve stepped up patrols across the city with the focal point is Monroe Crossings,” King said.
Police met with residents in that neighborhood on Monday night to update them on the incidents and the investigation. They also took questions from residents and said they will let residents know when an arrest is made.
Residents said the shootings made the neighborhood feel very scared but expressed confidence in the police department, noting they have been proactive in keeping residents updated.
Police Chief Bob Buchanan asked residents to contact police if they have any video from home security cameras or if they know anything about the incident or the suspects who fired the shots.
