Which Hamilton roads will close for the Memorial Day parade

On Monday, the City of Hamilton and Butler County will be remembering and honoring Americans who have given their lives for the country while serving in the United States Armed Forces. There will be a parade immediately followed by a ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery. To ensure the safety of those participating in and viewing the parade, there will be road closures and restricted parking along the parade route.

The following roadways will be closed from the times noted:

At 8 a.m., Neilan Blvd will close from Pershing Ave. to Ludlow St., and Monument Street from Court Street to Ludlow Street for parade staging. Neilan Blvd. and Monument St. will reopen after the parade begins.

At 10 a.m. the parade will begin and the following streets will be closed:

  • Court St, from Monument St. to 2nd St.
  • 2nd St. from Court St. to High St.
  • High St. from Front St. to Erie Hwy.
  • 7th St. from High St. to Heaton St.
  • Dayton St. from 7th St. to Erie Hwy.
  • N. 10th St. from Dayton St. to Heaton St.
  • Heaton St. from 7th St. to Fair Ave.

Roadways will be reopened incrementally as the parade passes, and safety dictates.

There will be no parking permitted after 8 a.m. on any of the streets along the parade route. No parking signs will be posted and vehicles found parked on parade route streets after 8 a.m. on Monday, may be towed.
