West Chester resident joins Girls on the Run board

West Chester Twp. resident Tessa Castner has joined the board of directors for Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati.

Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, youth development program that inspires girls in grades three through eight to recognize their potential and pursue their dreams, according to the organization.

Castner’s experience with Frost Brown Todd LLC and the United Way Board Orientation and Leadership Development (“BOLD”) Program has provided invaluable training to prepare her for board governance, the organization’s leaders said in a press release.

Castner has also been involved with Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati as a coach.

“As a former coach, I witnessed firsthand how GOTR instills confidence, builds self-esteem, and teaches healthy habits,” Castner said. “I am so honored to join the board of GOTR Cincinnati and help further the invaluable mission of empowering our community’s girls.”

Each season culminates with a 5K event to celebrate the girls’ growth during the season.
