Saturday is the day for Fairfield Twp. residents to unload junk from their homes and to also help their community spruce up for warmer weather.

Fairfield Twp. will be holding its annual Spring Clean Up Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6.

Residents — and please have proof of residency with you — can dispose of trash, batteries, paint, oil, and tires at the Township Administration Building, 6032 Morris Road, where dumpsters will be available for use.

Also on Saturday, local families, Scout Troops and township employees will be spreading mulch, weeding flower beds, directing traffic, walking parks, and hitting bike trails to pick up litter.

Volunteers are still needed for the event. Lunch will be provided to those who volunteer. If you’re interested, call Gail Asher at 513-785-2247.
