RECALL ROUNDUP: Here are the latest recalls from the past week

Art supplies, electric chainsaws and off-highway vehicles are among the potentially dangerous products under recall, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Pottery wheel kits, Spin Art kits, and Halloween candle holders are being recalled by Michaels due to fire and burn hazards.

There is one report of a fire and one report of overheating in the battery compartment of the Creatology Potter Wheel Kit with the SKU number 078859 and the following UPC codes: 0400100663462, 0042409006603, 0042409006702, 0042409006757, 0069545670017, 0886946767692.

There are two reports of the battery compartment overheating in the Creatology Spin Art kits with the SKU 197861 and the UPC codes: 042409093252, 042409930601, 042409093115, 042409093061, 069545093113, 042409931141, and 400100663486.

There is one report of tea lights igniting the 3-Tier Haunted Townhouse candle holders. No injuries have been reported involving any of these recalled Michaels products, but don’t use them.

Contact Michaels at 800-642-4235 for information or return the products to the store for a full refund.

Colorations extra-large crayons are being recalled because the sets may contain glass which could cut you.

There are two reports of red crayons containing glass, but no injuries.

Stop using the 200-piece sets sold exclusively online at DiscountschoolSupply.com and contact the company at 800-338-4430 to receive a free replacement set.

Harbor Freight Tools is recalling Portland, One Stop Gardens, and Chicago Electric 14 inch electric chainsaws because they may continue to operate when in the “off” position.

One person required stitches and three others were cut due to the malfunctioning chainsaws.

Look for the following brand names, model numbers and colors: Portland 67255 or 61592 in green and black, One Stop Gardens 67255 or 61592 green and black, Chicago Electric 67255 or 61592 in red and black.

Don’t use the recalled chainsaws and contact Harbor Freight Tools 800-444-3353 or return the chainsaws to the store to receive a free replacement, which will be available starting May 21st.

Regency Ultimate direct vent gas stove fireplaces are being recalled because they may catch on fire or explode.

One person reported a cut to the leg due to a broken door hinge, and there are three reports of the pressure system failing.

Look for the model number U39 with the following serial number ranges: 41001 – 42602, 223000001 – 223008520, 315000001 – 315012548, and the model number U37 with the following serial number ranges: 13735 – 13763, 31 001 – 31795, 221000025 – 221002269, 221031585 – 221031745, 313000001 – 313000457.

Don’t use the fireplaces, turn off the gas supply, and contact Regency at 866-867-4328 to schedule a free repair.

American Honda is recalling 65,000 Honda Pioneer ROVs because the muffler can overheat and cause a fire or burns.

There are three reports of the plastic heat shields catching on fire, but no injuries.

Boilers by NY Thermal are under recall due to a potential carbon monoxide poisoning hazard.

There are three reports of the boilers leaking condensation and CO.

The recalled boilers were sold under the Trinity Tft and Slant/Fin CHS brand names and have multiple model numbers and UPC codes which can be found here.

Contact NY Thermal at 800-688-2575 to receive a free repair.

If you continue to use the boiler while waiting for a repair, make sure you have working carbon monoxide detectors near the unit and outside bedrooms on every level of your home.

Playground SuperMax Triple Slides are under recall because the slide entrance can trap young children.

Look for the model numbers 71717, 71718, and 71732.

No one has been injured, but don’t use the slides and contact Play and Park Structures at 800-809-4181 for a free inspection and repair.
