Pro wakeboarders coming to Butler County

Sixteen professional wakeboarders will be competing in Butler County this summer as part of a national tour.

The Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will make West Chester Twp. the final stop of its summer tour.

The top 16 professional men wakeboarders in the world will be at Voice of America MetroPark on Aug. 12.

The event will have an estimated economic impact of $150,000 on the region, according to officials with the Butler County Visitors Bureau.

In addition to wakeboarding, the tour will also feature wakesurfing — riding the boat’s wake without the help of a towrope.

The event will be open to the public.
