Driver transported by medical helicopter after crash in Fairfield

UPDATE @ 12:02 p.m.: A Pontiac G6 went off the left side of Seward Road and into a ditch before becoming airborne and hitting a patch of trees, according to Fairfield Deputy Fire Chief Tom Wagner.

The driver, a man who was the only person in the car, was alert when transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by helicopter, according to Wagner.

UPDATE @ 11:45 a.m.:

One person has been transported by UC AirCare, according to dispatchers.

FIRST REPORT:

A medical helicopter has been called to the scene of a crash in Fairfield, according to dispatchers.

The crash occurred about 10:35 a.m. in the 9300 block of Seward Road. A vehicle reportedly went airborne and hit a tree.

The helicopter is landing at Liberty Mutual Group on Seward Road.
