Mike and Gail Clarey are this year’s chairs for the event with “An American Christmas Affair” as the theme.

John and Pat Dupps moved to Middletown in 1984 when he was hired by The Dupps Company in Germantown that designs and manufactures processing equipment. His grandfather founded the company in 1935 in Cincinnati and relocated it to Germantown in 1940. Dupps followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, serving as company president. He retired eight years ago after 51 years with the company.
His wife was a member of the Middletown Symphony Women’s Association for many years and served as president. This organization supported the Middletown Symphony Orchestra that provided music to the Middletown area for more than 75 years.
She was one of the original board members of the WHIIMES organization that was started in 2005 and served as
president for several terms. She has continued to be involved in the organization’s growth and focus over the past 14 years. She also served on the the Atrium Foundation Board.
John Dupps served on the Middletown Hospital Foundation Board for 12 years and as president for four years. He was on the Bishop Fenwick High School Development Advisory Board for six years and served on the St. John XXIII’s Development Committee during the expansion of the St. John XXIII addition to Bishop Fenwick High School.
The couple chaired the Fenwick Festival and volunteered for many events at Fenwick and St. John XXIII. They also chaired the Atrium Foundation’s 2010 Gala, “When You Wish Upon a Star.” They have three children and four grandchildren and are members of Holy Family Parish.
The Charity Ball provides money for an endowment fund administered by Atrium Medical Center Foundation for Women’s Health Services. These funds provide screenings and tests, such as mammograms, to local women who need financial assistance.
The Charity Ball has raised more than $1 million.
Those who enjoy a casino challenge will find an opportunity to play black jack and poker that will be staffed by the Middletown Knights of Columbus Council No. 1610 dealers. There will also be a raffle and silent auction items.

WHEN: 6 p.m. Dec. 7 with social hour and cash bar. Holiday music will be provided by Dick Watson and Kenneth Davis. Dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m. and provided by Two Women in a Kitchen. After dinner, music will be provided by All the Right Tunes.

HOW MUCH: Cost is $65 per person or $130 per couple; contributing as a Grand Patron $175, includes dinner and dancing for two and a listing in the program. College age students may attend for $30.
