The city expects to see more than 30,000 people participating this weekend in some part of the 19th annual Flying Pig Marathon festivities.

On Friday, UC Health’s baby Bearcats transformed into flying piglets to celebrate the commencement of events.

Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director of the Flying Pig Marathon, and the Flying Pig mascot visited UC Medical Center’s labor and delivery department to deliver welcome gifts to newborns and their families.

The special items, which are exclusive to babies born May 5-7 at UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital, include Flying Pig bibs, plush pigs, 2018 Flying Pig registration information and presents for each mom.
