HAMILTON — Residents at the Villas of Hamilton West are opening their doors to the public as part of an upcoming Tour of Homes.
From 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, the Villas of Hamilton West is celebrating its fifth anniversary with entertainment, food and seven homes open for touring, said Kathy Inman, operations manager.
“We’re very excited to be part of the Hamilton community,” said Inman of the 72-home neighborhood.
Entertainment will include a 2:30 p.m. performance by the Hamilton High School girls show choir, Fascinating Rhythm. Inman said food and games such as cornhole will be on-site, as well as a pie contest judged by Hyde’s Restaurant.
Vendors from different divisions of the home-building/remodeling process — such as carpet and heating and cooling — will be setting up booths.
Barb Bryant, resident and chairwoman of the social committee, said four different floor plan concepts will be part of the tour of homes — Abbey, Canterbury, Chateau and Villa — all English-style with open floor designs, large windows and patios.
“The houses are very distinct and there are monthly activities like card night and water aerobics,” said Bryant, who has lived in the community three years.
Free tickets granting access to the homes can be picked up at the office the day of the event. The Villas anticipates about 300 visitors.
