UPDATE: A statewide alert is now canceled because the Logan County man was found safe, according to the sheriff's office.
FIRST REPORT
A statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert was issued for a 91-year-old Logan County man.
Bernard Bates was last seen at 12:30 p.m. Friday after leaving his West Mansfield home and not returning.
He stands 5 feet, 11 inches, weighs 165 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last wearing a tan jacket over a red sweatshirt, tan hat and khakis.
He suffers from dementia and has a heart condition.
He drives a tan 2013 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Ohio plates BIB 3538.
Anyone who sees him or his van is urged to call 911 or 1-866-693-9171.
