Eric Ruggles, 40, was found guilty by a jury in March on charges of rape, gross sexual imposition, and sexual battery, Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said in a media release.

Thursday, a judge sentenced Ruggles to life in prison with eligibility for parole after 20 years. Ruggles was also designated a Tier III sex offender.

The girls, who ranged from 4-years-old to 12-years-old at the time of the crimes, were sexually assaulted by Riggles from 2003 and 2012, Fornshell said.

"I’m so proud of those two girls for their courage in standing up to their abuser,” Fornshell said in the media release.

Ruggles is currently listed as an inmate at the Warren County Jail, according to online records.
