The restaurant — which serves Mexican-influenced food, along with tequila and whiskey — closed for two hours Wednesday during filming of Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” but reopened around 2:30 p.m., Lanni said.
“We were honored to be selected,” he said.
The Lanni brothers also own Eagle Food and Beer Hall at 1342 Vine St., SoHi Grilled Sandwiches at 17 E. High St. in Oxford and Currito, a Cincinnati-based burrito company with franchises nationwide, Lanni said. Their father, Nick Lanni, founded Great Steak and Potato Company in 1982 with a location in the now-defunct Dayton Arcade Mall.
Fieri, who last visited Cincinnati in 2010, announced this week’s trip Tuesday afternoon via Twitter: “Headed to Cincinnati to find some #DDD spots I know ur gonna dig!”
An exact air date for the episode starring Bakersfield and other establishments in the area has not been determined.
