WHAT: Second annual Summer Activities Expo presented by Fairfield Parks and Recreation

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department will host its second annual Summer Activities Expo from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.
The Summer Activities Expo will feature free activities for children while parents learn about the many camps and programs available to children this summer. Admission is free.
Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department staff will share local opportunities while representatives from more than 20 camps and summer programs for ages 3-17 will be on hand to speak with families about what they have to offer, spanning the spectrum from arts to science to outdoor nature activities.
Representatives will be available from: theatre camps, pottery programs, cup cake decorating camp, painting programs, nature programs, preschool camps, science camps, iSpace, Bricks 4 Kids, Spanish programs, Young Rembrandts, golf camps, swim programs, sign language programs, sewing camp, YMCA, and the education station from Village Green Farmers Market.
As part of the event, attendees can have their Expo Passport stamped at each table they visit during the expo. Those who fill their entire passport can submit it in a drawing for one of four $25 gift certificates to be used on any program represented at the expo. The drawing will take place at 3 p.m. The winner does not need to be present.
The following demonstrations and activities will also be taking place during the expo:
- 1:15 p.m.: Theatre Games
- 1:30 p.m.: Water Safety Dance
- 1:45 p.m.: Science Experiment
- 2 p.m.: Pottery Art
- 2:15 p.m.: Young Rembrandts
- 2:30 p.m.: Golf Demo Dance
- 2:45 p.m.: Cake Decorating
