2 local residents to root for at the Grammys this weekend

Here are two big reasons to watch the Grammy awards on Sunday: Dave Chappelle and Morgan Taylor.

Both are among the nominees for The Grammy Awards, which will air on Sunday, Jan. 28, on CBS (WHIO-TV in the Dayton and Springfield markets) at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Chappelle, who lives just outside of Yellow Springs, was nominated in the Best Comedy Album category for his “The Age Of Spin” and “Deep In The Heart Of Texas.”  Gustafer Yellowgold creator and Kettering native Morgan Taylor is nominated in the Best Children’s Album category for his “Brighter Side.”

This is Taylor's second Grammy nomination. Taylor's Gustafer Yellowgold character, a friendly yellow creature who came from the sun and now resides in Minnesota, was nominated for the 2016 Grammy for Best Children's Album.
