Ohio 73 in Butler County reopens after car-semi crash that sent 1 to hospital

UPDATED AT 3:50 p.m.: A crash earlier Thursday between a car and a semi-truck saw one transported to Butler Bethesda where they were treated and released, said hospital officials.

County police dispatchers said a car crashed into the side of the truck’s cab.

Ohio 73 was closed for a short time but reopened to traffic.

Police are still investigating the crash.

Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash with injuries at one of Butler County’s most dangerous intersections.

Dispatchers for the Butler County Sheriff’s department reported a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ohio 73 and Jacksonburg Road near the city of Trenton.

A safety study by the Ohio Department of Transportation determined the intersection was the fifth worst rural intersection in the state.

Dispatchers said west bound Ohio 73 is shut down as EMS crews and firefighters provide aid.
