There have been 42,254 confirmed cases and 2,467 confirmed deaths. ODH is reporting 7,292 hospitalizations and 1,852 ICU admissions in the state during the pandemic.
There are two pop-up coronavirus testing sites planned for the Miami Valley this week.
On Wednesday, testing will be available at the Greene County Health Center, 360 Wilson Drive, Xenia, and on Thursday at the Samaritan Health Center, 921 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., Dayton. Both locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing is free and available without a doctor’s order.

A pop-up testing location was in Middletown last wee and served nearly 200 people
The pop-up locations were announced after Gov. Mike DeWine said southwest Ohio was seeing an increase of cases. Montgomery, Greene, Clark and Warren counties were specifically identified as seeing a jump in cases.

Starting today, contact sports can resume practices and scrimmages. Coaches, players and officials are still urged to refrain from physical contact before and after competitive practice, such as handshakes, high-fives and huddles.
This week, the governor is expected to announce more information regarding guidelines for K-12 schools.

DeWine previously said the guidelines would be flexible and that most decisions would fall to local school districts to determine what works best for their schools.
He is expected to give a press briefing on the pandemic Tuesday afternoon.
