Boehm, 75, died March 3 after being diagnosed in October, said Connector Manufacturing President Joe Klenk.
In 1976, Boehm bought Connector Manufacturing, which makes copper and aluminum connectors for the electrical industry. Today, the company has five locations and more than 300 employees.
“Bill was a wonderful, creative thinking entrepreneur and built a successful business,” said Kenny Craig, president and chief executive officer of Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.
Craig said he also gave back to the community.
For the past five years, Boehm was chairman of the board of the Hamilton company, Klenk said. He had over 50 years of experience in the industry.
Boehm was National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s longest voting member, a board of governors member for 15 years and chairman of the Connector Section of NEMA for four years, according to Connector.
“There’s nothing I couldn’t ask him he couldn’t answer,” Klenk said.
Klenk added that Boehm still came into work until February.
Boehm, of Mason, is survived by his wife Renee; his son Jim, vice president of operations at Connector; his daughter Karen; and stepson Jordan; as well as five grandchildren, also according to Connector.
