Christ Hospital opens Liberty Twp. physician practice, replaces Middletown office

Butler County offices of The Christ Hospital Physicians — Ohio Heart & Vascular

The Christ Hospital Health Network opened last week its new physician offices in Liberty Twp., replacing a Middletown location.

This newspaper first learned in the fall of 2011 that Christ Hospital had signed a lease for office space in Liberty Twp. Christ Hospital signed a 10-year lease for approximately 17,000-square-feet in the medical office building at 7335 Yankee Road in Liberty Twp.

At the time the lease was signed, hospital officials said the use would probably be physician offices, although it wasn’t for sure.

The newspaper has since learned that the Liberty Twp. office replaces the Middletown office of The Christ Hospital Physicians — Ohio Heart & Vascular. The Middletown office is located at 231 N. Breiel Blvd.

A Hamilton office of the cardiology practice will remain open, said Michael Beauchat, spokesman for Christ Hospital. It is located at 1380 N.W. Washington Blvd.

However, a cardiovascular testing site in Hamilton will close, Beauchat said.

This new Liberty Twp. location offers outpatient heart and vascular care such as a cardiovascular testing center. The physicians specialize in general cardiology, advanced heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, advanced hypertension and peripheral vascular disease, the hospital group said.

“It is an exciting time of development in the Cincinnati-Dayton metroplex area, and we are very pleased to play a key role in making superior healthcare available to this growing population,” said Chris Thomson, executive director of the heart and vascular service line at Christ Hospital, in a statement.

Christ Hospital fills the second floor of a two-story building opened in 2008, close to Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus. Suburban Pediatric and the Kidney and Hypertension Center have office space on the first floor of the Yankee Road building.

Christ Hospital’s main campus is in the Cincinnati community Mt. Auburn. Christ Hospital has a network of physician and outpatient center locations throughout the region.

The Mt. Auburn health network also acquired in 2011 Wetherington Family Medicine, a doctor’s office in West Chester Twp.
