There is not a fixed schedule, but the chamber is attempting to do one per week for now. The biggest limitation is finding area businesses to participate. Businesses will be sponsoring the cash each week. Businesses should be reasonably accessible and welcome additional foot traffic.
Each envelope contains cash (minimum of $20) in various amounts, which is decided by the sponsoring business.
The chamber is doing this as a way to help business owners by getting them publicity and extra foot traffic as well as to encourage local buying, officials said.
