Car wash chain expands in Butler County with new location

Fairfield Twp. was “pretty enticing” for Flying Ace Express Car Wash to open its newest and most southern location, said the company’s spokesperson.

The car wash, which replaced a self-serve Winford Avenue facility next to Coffee Cup Overflowing and Home Depot, opened at the beginning of the month. It was a chance for Flying Ace to expand the brand south of its core area in the Miami Valley, said spokesperson Beth Martin.

“It was a natural fit for us,” she said.

The Fairfield Twp. location is the company’s eighth car wash, with the other seven all in the greater Dayton area. Martin said the location was ideal for a number of reasons, including its access to the highways, connection to neighboring communities and the Bridgewater Falls area is a destination location.

“That area, in general, is rapidly growing,” Martin said. “I think there’s a great customer base there, not only from a residential but business perspective, and we’re within a great mix of retail which is pretty enticing to us.”

Martin said the company wants to be known not only for “a great wash experience,” but to have “absolutely Disney-perfect sites.”

“Being part of the community is extremely important to us,” she said, which during its grand opening the company had a “free wash week” and collected donations for the Caring Closet, which provides clothing and basic necessities to those in need in the Hamilton community.

More than $3,000 was collected from Jan. 3 to 12.

“As a new business to the Hamilton area, we are pleased with the outpouring of support from the overall community and business leaders,” said John Roush, CEO of Express Wash Concepts, the parent company of Flying Ace Express. “It’s clear that our customers realize the impact that Caring Closet has to area children, and our hope is through our donation this incredible organization can assist even more kids in 2020.”

Martin said the company is also environmentally conscious as 15 to 20 gallons of water is used per wash — compared to 100 to 120 gallons used by people washing at home — and all products used are biodegradable.

Flying Ace Express Car Wash, 6560 Winford Ave., is open seven days a week and has various wash packages, ranging from its basic $5 wash to its top Flying Ace Wash package at $15. There are also various monthly wash memberships for unlimited washes.

Customers also have access to free vacuums, and they have a retail office with car-cleaning supplies for purchase.
