Cadillac Ranch bar closed as IRS investigating inside

CINCINNATI — A popular downtown bar and restaurant is temporarily closed as Internal Revenue Service agents conduct an investigation, an IRS official confirmed Wednesday.

Cadillac Ranch, located at the intersection of 6th and Walnut streets, closed its doors to accommodate for IRS agents sorting through documents at the restaurant, said Craig Casserly, information officer for the IRS’ Cincinnati Criminal Investigation field office.

“Right now, IRS criminal investigation is on location on official business, that’s all I can say,” Casserly said. “Everything involving what’s going on there today (Wednesday) is sealed in federal court.”

The restaurant will be reopened as soon as officials leave the premises laser this afternoon, Casserly said.

“When it’s a matter of public record, I’ll have more to speak of,” Casserly said.

Cadillac Ranch is a franchised group, with 13 locations nationwide.
