This will be the third time Hamilton has hosted the event, having done so previously in 2009 and 2010, said Stephanie Gigliotti, the sales manager for sports and events at the Butler County Visitors Bureau.
Attendance for the event is projected to be on the rise.
In previous years, the championship drew about 400 people.
This year, it is expected to draw more than 500 visitors, she said.
Liz Coombe, one of the coaches for the Junior Olympic archery club, said, “It’s great to have it in the middle of the country because everybody comes ... It’s nice to have a national-caliber tournament in your backyard.”
Citizens are invited to show their support for the Olympic archers by signing good luck cards at various locations throughout Butler County this week.
The good luck cards will be available at locations in Fairfield and Hamilton.
