The City of Middletown and Middletown Arts Center invites the public to an open house to celebrate the opening of an art display featuring works from local artist Peggy Trimble from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 1 Donham Plaza, second floor.

Trimble is a watercolor artist who began her art career 16 years ago under the instruction of Frank Martindell at the Middletown Arts Center. She is a multi-award winning artist and has had an art studio at the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Middletown since 2012. She also currently teaches watercolor at the Middletown Arts Center.

“We are thrilled to add local artwork to the city building in partnership with the Middletown Arts Center. We have great talent in the city and we look forward to showcasing a wide range of works in the building in the future,” City Manager Doug Adkins said in a statement.

The open house is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
