Symmes Road between Dixie Highway and River Road is scheduled to be reduced to one lane starting Monday for most of March.

The road closure is related to sanitary sewer improvement work performed by city contractors, according to a city of Fairfield release.

Motorists should expect delays in traffic during working hours. All work is expected to be completed before the end of the month.

Work hours may vary but are expected to be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

During working hours, Symmes Road will be reduced to one lane. However, two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
