JUST IN: Rick Springfield coming to Troy’s Hobart Arena

Bring out your bomber jacket, grab your Guess jeans, and pop the collar on your pink polo shirt … ‘80s pop star Rick Springfield is coming to town.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and musician will be making a tour stop at Troy’s Hobart Arena on Saturday, Feb. 16. Local ‘80s cover band Stranger will open for Springfield.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at www.hobartarena.com or by calling (937) 339-2911. Tickets prices range from $32 to $65.

Springfield sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” and “I've Done Everything for You.”

Springfield is also known for his work as an actor on television and movies. He starred opposite Meryl Streep in “Ricki and the Flash” and played the creepy Dr. Pitlor in HBO’s “True Detective.” He’s also had roles on “Supernatural” and “American Horror Story.”

Springfield’s latest album “The Snake King” explores the blues side of rock ‘n’ roll.
