A Middletown High School female student, who wants to remain anonymous, has started a grass-roots campaign to bring “positivity” to the school.
The student, her friends and a few staff members have placed hand-written notes around the school and in the women’s restroom encouraging students, a welcome move considering the “current climate” in the world, said Elizabeth Beadle, district spokeswoman.
“People are needing some positivity,” Beadle said.
So the student “stepped out to make that happen,” she said.
“Students need to feel like they count at Middletown,” Beadle said.
