Streets feeding into theses major roadways will also be impacted by the event, according to Hamilton police Officer Kristy Collins.
“Roads will not be reopening until the final runners have finished the marathon, which could be as late as 1:30 to 2 a.m.,” Collins said in a statement.
The unique nighttime marathon begins and ends at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in downtown Hamilton.
The full marathon and marathon relays will start at 6 p.m., the half marathon and 10K races will start at 7:30 p.m.
