Hamilton Twp. has a new administrator.

Brent Centers, who is currently vice mayor of Franklin, was recently appointed as the new township administrator. He announced his appointment during Monday’s Franklin City Council meeting.

Centers, 29, is in his first term as a Franklin City Council member and is a member of the Ohio Air National Guard where he is a crew chief of an F-16 fighter jet. He said he will officially start his new township position on April 9 and his new salary will be $90,168 a year.

As a Franklin council member, Centers has been active with the city’s economic development efforts and it becoming an accredited Main Street community.

Last year, he applied for the vacant village manager’s position in Carlisle that eventually went to then-village finance director Julie Duffy.

Centers is the son of former Franklin mayor and current Councilman Denny Centers and the brother of newly-elected Franklin Twp. Trustee Shane Centers.
