Franklin will be seeking a grant through Warren County for funding to replace curbs and gutters.

City Council on Monday approved a resolution seeking $175,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funding through Warren County.

City Engineer Barry Conway said the estimated cost to replace deteriorated curbs and gutters in the Franklin Woods area of the city is $225,000. Conway said the city would cover the $50,000 difference in costs from its stormwater fund.

Conway said if the application is approved, Warren County would administer the entire project, including the bidding.
