Florida man reconnects with woman, says his clothes were stolen

Sept. 9

More than $250 worth of beauty products were allegedly stolen from Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. Ashley Wilder, 20, of Bonita Drive, was charged with endangering children, complicity to theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, seat belt violation, two stop sign violations and reckless operation. The juveniles were warned not to hang out with Wilder.

Sept. 15

Four juveniles were cited for petty theft after they were allegedly caught stealing candy and snacks from Speedway, 4320 Roosevelt Blvd. When they were questioned by the clerk, they ran from the store. Police found items on them.

Sept. 16

A male was seen leaving Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd., with more than $180 worth of merchandise. Store employees wrote down the license plate number of the vehicle the man and a woman got into.

A wheel barrow was stolen from MTZ Professional Tree Service, 2850 Cincinnati-Dayton Road.

A Middletown man said about $300 was illegally withdrawn from his account at Chase Bank on Breiel Boulevard. He said the money was withdrawn from the ATM.

A man who lives in Florida said he reconnected with a Middletown woman he hadn’t seen in several years. He moved to Middletown, and after a week, he said the woman removed all his items out of the residence. He said clothes and shoes, valued at $470, and a safe with a watch in it were stolen. He was moving back to Florida, he told police.

A man with a crowbar was seen trying to break into a shed in the 300 block of Moore Street. The suspect was chased by the homeowner but he escaped.

A 2007 Hummer that was parked at Middletown Transmission was vandalized when someone stripped its chrome trim on the hood.

Someone broke into a 2002 Hyundai Accent that was parked in the 1600 block of Lamberton Street and stole a case of CDs, $6 in quarters and lipstick.

David Cole, 51, of Fairmount Avenue, was charged with drug abuse schedule II after he was found to have generic Percoset on him when police checked the vehicle at Frazer Drive and Klare Court. He told police that he had a prescription for the medication, though he had no bottle.

Sept. 17

An Ohio State University hoodie was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 4500 block of Rosewood Court.

Sept. 18

About 130 feet of copper was stolen out of the basement of a vacant residence in the 2300 block of Grand Avenue. The front door was kicked in and the water softener was knocked over.
