A first look at Hamilton-filmed ‘Carol’ starring Cate Blanchett

A movie trailer posted Monday on YouTube offers the first official look at "Carol," the 1950s movie starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara that was shot in Hamilton and Cincinnati last year.

The film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May, is currently scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on Nov. 20.

“Carol,” directed by Todd Haynes and produced by Christine Vachon, is a film adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1952 novel “The Price of Salt.”

Blanchett stars in the lesbian romance as a married woman pursued by a younger department store clerk (Mara).
